Betta fish are most suitable for breeding at a water temperature of 26 - 27°C. Within this temperature range, the breeding success rate of betta fish is relatively high. Additionally, the optimal living water temperature for betta fish is 25 - 28°C. If breeding is required, it is recommended to adjust the water temperature to 26 - 27°C.

Besides temperature, the following points also need to be noted for the breeding of betta fish:
Water Quality: Keep the water quality clean, promptly clean up leftover bait and feces, and appropriately replace the water body to keep indicators such as ammonia and nitrates within the normal range, thus creating a comfortable living environment for the fry.
Food: Betta fish like to eat live baits such as small fish, small shrimps, bloodworms, and tubifex worms. However, it is best not to feed them artificial feed, as the additives in artificial feed may cause harm to the fish.
Breeding Method: Betta fish are hermaphroditic. Generally, they can breed within two years after reaching sexual maturity. When the water temperature reaches above 25°C, they can start spawning and breeding. Generally, a pair of female fish can lay 200 - 500 eggs, with a maximum of 800 eggs, and a pair of male fish can lay 600 - 700 eggs.
By controlling these conditions well, the breeding success rate of betta fish can be improved.
