When changing the water for betta fish, it's possible to change all of it, but frequent complete water changes are not recommended.

Water Change Frequency and Volume
- Small fish tanks (1 - 5 liters): It is recommended to change about 25% to 30% of the water every 2 - 3 days to keep the water quality clean.
- Medium fish tanks (5 - 20 liters): If a filtration system is installed, change the water once a week, each time replacing about 20% to 30% of the water.
- Large fish tanks (over 20 liters): Change the water once every 1 - 2 weeks, each time replacing 20% to 30% of the water.
Precautions for Water Change
- Don't change all the water at once: This will disrupt the ecological balance in the fish tank and may cause stress to the betta fish. It is advisable to gradually change a portion of the water instead of replacing it all at once.
- Use aged water: Tap water needs to be aged in advance to remove chlorine before use. Bottled purified water can be used as a backup.
- Add Indian almond leaves and sea salt: After changing the water, you can add Indian almond leaves and a small amount of sea salt to the water to improve water quality and provide nutrients.
- Keep the water quality clean: Regularly suck up the feces and food residues at the bottom of the fish tank to maintain clean water quality.
