Suitable water temperature for guppies

Guppies are suitable for a wide range of water temperatures, but the most suitable water temperature is 20-24 degrees Celsius. Within this temperature range, guppies are in the best physical health and have the best breeding results.

  Performance at different water temperatures:

For juvenile fish: The suitable water temperature is 24-27 degrees Celsius. Below this temperature range, it may lead to decreased appetite and illness.

For adult fish: The suitable water temperature is 20-24 degrees Celsius. When the temperature is lower than 15 degrees Celsius, they are prone to illness and even death.

Minimum temperature: The lowest temperature that guppies can tolerate is 14-16 degrees Celsius, but their activities will be affected at this temperature.

Maximum temperature: The maximum suitable temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. When it exceeds 35 degrees Celsius, they are prone to illness and even death.

  Methods for adjusting water temperature:

When the temperature is too low: Use an electronic automatic water heater to control the water temperature at around 25 degrees Celsius. Avoid using inferior water heaters to prevent electric leakage.

When the temperature is too high: Prevent sunlight. When it is too hot, you can put some ice cubes to cool down and change the water at the same time.
