1. General Principles of Mixed Breeding
Similar Habits: Koi fish are temperate freshwater fish, and the suitable water temperature is between 20-25°C. The fish species bred together with koi should also be adapted to this temperature range and be tolerant of slightly alkaline water quality.
Gentle Temperament: Koi fish have a relatively gentle temperament, but they do have a certain sense of territory. Therefore, it is not advisable to breed them together with fierce or aggressive fish species to avoid conflicts.

3. Precautions
Avoid Mixed Breeding with Fierce Fish Species: For example, Arowana or Oscar fish. Although there are some individual successful cases, it is generally not recommended to try.
