The feeding methods of Oscar fish (also known as the "Tiger Oscar") include water quality management, temperature control, feed selection and breeding techniques.

Suitable Water Quality and Temperature
Oscar fish are suitable to live in neutral or slightly alkaline water with a pH value between 6.5 and 7.5. They prefer warm water areas, and the most suitable water temperature for them is between 26 and 30 degrees Celsius. If the water temperature drops below 18℃, Oscar fish will die, and if it's higher than 30℃, their living conditions will be poor.
Feed Selection and Feeding Frequency
Oscar fish are omnivorous fish. The most suitable feed for them is high-protein pellet feed. You can also add some vegetables and fruits in appropriate amounts. Feed them 2 to 3 times a day, and the amount of feed each time should be appropriate. Avoid overfeeding to prevent water pollution.
Requirements for Aquarium and Equipment
For a pair of Oscar fish, the bottom area of the aquarium should be no less than 80×60 centimeters. It should also be equipped with proper filtration devices and oxygen pumps. Thoroughly clean the aquarium every month, remove the remaining feed and dirt, and clean the filters, oxygen pumps and other equipment.
Breeding Techniques
Before breeding, choose healthy and active male and female Oscar fish as breeding subjects. Prepare a separate breeding tank, lay suitable stones or sand on the bottom, and provide some hidden shelters. Before mating, the female fish will fully absorb nutrients and her abdomen will become round. The male fish will chase the female fish and bite her body to mate. After mating, remove the male fish. The fertilized eggs will hatch in about 2 to 3 days at a temperature of 28 to 30 degrees Celsius. The hatched fry should be transferred to other aquariums, provided with pellet feed of suitable size, and the water quality should be kept clean.
