Red parrotfish are relatively easy to raise. They don't have high requirements for water quality, and they can grow well under a relatively wide range of suitable water temperature and pH values. Usually, they grow well when the water temperature is between 24℃ and 27℃ and the pH is between 8.1 and 8.4. Red parrotfish are not difficult to raise and are suitable to be kept in an aquarium with a capacity of more than 150 liters. As long as appropriate shelters and a sealed cover are provided to prevent them from jumping out, they can adapt to the environment very well.

During the raising process, red parrotfish need carnivorous bait, such as feeder shrimp and other animal baits. They have a gentle temperament and won't harass other fish or corals, so they are also safe in a coral tank. Besides, the body color of red parrotfish will become more gorgeous during courtship. Male fish will turn bright yellow and red, while female fish will have thick stripes.
